Semaglutide + BPC – 157 for Weight Loss

Anti-obesity medications have been around for decades, and there are several that are currently in use – including here at Restoration Health Care. Semaglutide (also known as Ozempic or Wegovy) is a new generation of highly effective hormone-based obesity medications. It mimics a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), which is secreted in the gut and targets receptors throughout the body, including the brain. When a person is eating, GLP-1 sends the brain the “I’m full” signal.

Semaglutide also decreases “gastric emptying,” the process by which stomach contents are moved into the first part of the small intestine as part of the digestive process. This effect decreases over time; however, the action of sending the “I’m full” signal is why Semaglutide works over long periods of time.

The action of making people feel full means people generally eat smaller portions at meals and don’t have the same desire to constantly snack between meals.

In study at Penn Medicine* and other locations [February 24, 2021], participants lost an average of 16 percent of their starting weight. More than one-third lost 20 percent or more of baseline weight.

“PHILADELPHIA — A second study of the injectable anti-obesity medication, Semaglutide, has confirmed the large weight losses reported in a study earlier this month, establishing the reliability and robustness of this new drug. With obesity affecting more than 40 percent of American adults, the findings could have a major impact on weight management in primary care and other settings. The study is published today in the Journal of the American Medical Association.”

With the possible side effects being nausea, diarrhea, gas, and bloating, we have teamed up with our lab to come up with the perfect combination. Semaglutide + BPC – 157.

BPC – 157 (Body Protection Compound 157, a peptide chain) provides many benefits, including:

  • Treating intestinal damage like fistulas and inflammation
  • Healing stomach ulcers
  • Increasing cellular regeneration

The BPC – 157 helps reduce the side-effects of nausea and diarrhea.

Semaglutide

About Semaglutide

The Federal Drug Administration (FDA) announced that Semaglutide was approved for weight loss in chronically obese or overweight patients on June 4, 2021. Semaglutide was initially approved as a type 2 diabetes drug in 2017.

“We have not seen this degree of weight loss with any previous medication,” Dr. Timothy Garvey of the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

At Restoration Health Care, our medically supervised weight program is simple. You’ll come in for a consultation and review of your medical history to determine if you are a candidate for our program. Your cost will be $375 for 1 month (4 shots) and will include your weekly appts for your injection, weigh-ins, and measurements for 10 weeks. We’ll also do blood work for a wellness panel.

Please fast at least 12 hours before the appointment.

There are no added supplements or prescriptions required. The program may be repeated month to month for as long as necessary until the goal is reached. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, care credit, and HSAs.

Semaglutide is not recommended for those with a personal or family history of certain endocrine or thyroid tumors, specifically, medullary thyroid cancer or if you have an endocrine system condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Semaglutide works best with patients with a BMI > 30.

Semaglutide injections work best with lifestyle changes. Your physician will consult with you on a program that fits your weight loss goals.

“Thank you for your continued excellent service.”
